Samsung Galaxy S25 in for review

The Samsung Galaxy S25 is easily the go-to compact Android phone to get. Yes, you can find small phones with better camera systems - Xiaomi's 15 and vivo's X200 Pro mini come to mind - but those aren't as readily available and we'd argue that they won't be to everyone's liking. After years of dominating the smartphone market, Samsung feels comfortable to users, an advantage it shares only with the iPhone, which will make the Galaxy S25 an easy choice for the person looking for a new compact Android flagship. There are no surprises in the retail package. The Galaxy S25 ships with a...

Samsung's Exynos 2500 chip to debut in the second half of 2025

With the Samsung Galaxy S25 series out and about without any trace of Exynos 2500, some were quick to assume that we won't be getting an Exynos-powered Samsung flagship this year. However, a confirmation that the company is working on the chipset comes from an unlikely place - Samsung's earnings report. In an earnings call aimed at investors, the Samsung System LSI department shared some info regarding the Exynos 2500. The report says the Korean tech giant is working on refining the flagship SoC and wants to "secure design wins for mobile models scheduled for release in H2...

Samsung Galaxy A36 and A56 repairability scores emerge ahead of launch

The yet to be released Samsung Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56 appeared in a set of French repairability indices posted by Samsung France. This development is similar to last year when the predecessors for both phones were also listed by Samsung France ahead of their launch. Galaxy A36 repairability score Unsurprisingly, both phones earned similar repairability scores of 8.4/10. The score for the Galaxy A36 is identical to its predecessor, while the upcoming Galaxy A56 gets a 0.1-point reduction in its final score compared to the Galaxy A55. The accompanying table suggests that some...

iQOO Z10x gets certified on its way to launch

The iQOO Z10x was first mentioned in a leak at the beginning of this year, which told us it would be one of four members of the Z10 family, alongside the Z10, Z10 Turbo, and Z10 Turbo Pro. Now the Z10x is one step closer to its release, having been certified for sale in India by BIS. So, naturally, it will launch in India as the successor to the Z9x from April 2024. The Z10x has the model number I2404 and that's everything we know about it so far, unfortunately. We do however know that the Z10 Turbo and Z10 Turbo Pro will sport the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 and the Qualcomm Snapdragon...

Honor Pad X9a is on the way, certification reveals

Honor is working on a successor to the low-end Pad X8a which it launched back in August. This will unsurprisingly be the Honor Pad X9a, and it will be offered in the UAE as it's just been certified for sale over there by TDRA. Of course, the device is likely to be available in many more international markets. TDRA also certified the upcoming Honor Pad V9 recently. The X9a that passed through the TDRA's process was Wi-Fi-only and had the model number ELN2-W29. Unfortunately, there are no spec details revealed by the certification. Still, you shouldn't expect this to be a high-end...

A couple of days ago a rumor tipped the pricing for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7, and spoiler alert - it will be the same as for their predecessors. Today the same source brings us the rumored memory and storage versions for Samsung's next foldable duo, along with an intriguing detail regarding the Fold7: this will...

Google Photos adds a very useful feature

Google Photos has now added what we consider to be a very useful feature, albeit it's only available on Android. It's the ability to quickly mirror your photos. You just need to tap the Edit icon on any image, then select Crop, and tap the flip icon. Then all you need to do is tap Save and it's done. Do note that this is only available for photos. This is most useful for selfies, which most phones automatically mirror. That's fine sometimes, but other times you might want to have an accurate representation of what you saw in the viewfinder. Some camera apps do have both...

The new Samsung Galaxy S25 family doesn't impress with many meaningful upgrades, but even the little ones are welcome, such as the Qi 2.1 wireless charging support. As the version number implies, the changes are incremental. There's also no boost in wireless charging speed—the S25 Ultra goes up to 25W, while the other two are capped at 15W. Spotify has reported that in 2024 it paid $10 billion to the music industry – a new record. The streaming service says that right now over 10,000 artists make over $100,000 each per year on Spotify. You can see a more detailed breakdown here. Some are making big bucks – 1,250 artists made over $1 million and 60 made over $10 million in a year from just Spotify.
